About The Dragonfly Cottage on Intermediate Lake
The Dragonfly Cottage is a vintage, 5-bedroom lakefront retreat on Intermediate Lake in Central Lake, Michigan. With a private sandy beach, 90-foot dock, kayaks, a canoe, a paddleboat, and cozy spaces inside and out, it’s designed for easy family time—and it’s dog-friendly, too.
Discover the Heart of The Dragonfly
Wake to mist over the water and end the day around the lakeside fire pit with s’mores and stories. Between hammocks, lawn games, and nostalgic touches like a Star Wars pinball machine and a record player, every generation finds a favorite spot to relax or play.
At Home at the Lake
Just steps from the back door, Intermediate Lake invites you to swim, paddle, and cast a line for bass and bluegill. Enjoy the shallow, sandy entry that’s great for kids and pups, then venture farther out for deeper water off the dock. Evenings glow with sunset views and crackling fires by the shore.

Our family of seven adults, a toddler, and two dogs had a great time. The lake’s shallow area was perfect for little ones and pups. Tons of outdoor games and water toys. Cooling system worked well and communication was outstanding.
Perfect Up North lakefront house—thoughtfully stocked for humans and pups. Loved the coffee bar, books, hammocks, and view. Communication was easy and helpful. Fantastic experience and we look forward to booking again.
Plenty of room for our group with small kids. The gathering space was great and the kitchen had everything we needed, plus a terrific coffee bar. The windows facing the lake made it easy to watch for good paddling weather.
One of the best stays we’ve had. We fished, used the kayaks and paddle boat, had bonfires, and played cornhole. The kitchen and bathrooms were stocked with thoughtful extras.
